Ideas for the Men Longing to Become Fathers

For all of the couples trying to conceive, give your partner the gift of fertility support this year for Father's Day!

I work with so many women who are trying to conceive. We work on hormone balancing, mineral status, gut health and more. All of this work is SO important, but we do have to remember that women are just 50% of the puzzle when trying to conceive!

Did you know that stress is the number one factor of lowered testosterone in men and it severely impacts fertility?

Stressful Patterns Common in Men:

1. Over-exercise

2. Not eating enough.

3. Caffeine overuse

4. Poor sleep

5. Lack of movement

6. Diet low in nutrients and high in saturated fat or sugar

7. Never seeing the sunlight

All of these very common patterns in men require the production of our stress hormone, cortisol. Over time, the elevation of cortisol prevents the body from focusing on reproduction, detoxification, even muscle building.

(So yes, those long hours at the gym without eating can be HURTING testosterone instead of boosting it).

Over time, these things begin to pile up and result in:

Tired businessman sleeping in his office

  • Decreased Sperm Production
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Decreased bone density
  • Hair loss
  • Weight gain, especially around the abdomen
  • Changes in overall mood and outlook toward life
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Sleep problems
  • and more!

So how do we help out our favorite guys to reach their goals of becoming dads?

1. Get them tested with functional labs:  Start with a Saliva Hormone Panel, Hair Mineral Analysis, and a GI-Map. By using these labs, we can get a full glimpse at his health and eliminate any hidden stressors (such as high cortisol, bacterial overgrowth, food sensitivities and more!).  Book a free 15 min phone call with me to order labs!
